Achab is located at the foot of the Gamgamichab mountains, only 9,5km south of Usakos on the D1914 road. Situated 50km from the Spitskoppe and 25 km from Ameib Ranch. Achab has been set aside as a private initiative for conservation of various fauna and flora, including the Hartman zebra, endemic bird species eg. Herero Chat, as well as Quiver and Moringa trees. Located 150 km from Swakopmund and 200 km from Windhoek it is the ideal place to get away from it all. Achab offers camping sites, scenic views, hiking trails, various natural springs and harbors a variety of free roaming game as well as a rich diversity of bird species.
